Factory-Direct from Changzhou, China | 8mm & 10mm Bar In Stock | ISO 9001 & SGS Certified
Overview
Some diameters are ordered so often they never leave stock: 8mm and 10mm pure nickel round bar in Ni200 (UNS N02200) and Ni201 (UNS N02201) ships from the Changzhou mill while other sizes run to drawing. Buyers in chemical, electrical and process industries keep returning to these two sizes because they machine into the parts that show up on repeat drawings. Annealed bar in 8 and 10 mm — plus 12 and 20 mm — is kept in stock for 3-7 day dispatch; other diameters run from 3-300 mm per drawing, each lot covered by a mill test certificate (EN 10204 3.1).
The stock program for pure nickel round bar covers round, hexagonal and square forms with black, peeled, polished and cold drawn surfaces, diameters from 3-300 mm and lengths to 6000 mm.

Technical Details
Ni200 vs Ni201: Carbon, Temperature and the Service Limit
Ni200 is the general-purpose grade: minimum 99.2% nickel, good mechanical properties at room temperature, and its corrosion profile — strong in hot caustic alkalis and reducing media, not in oxidizing acids or chloride-rich service — comes from purity, not alloying. Ni201 is the same metal with carbon limited to 0.02%, and that one element decides the temperature limit: above roughly 315°C, the carbon in Ni200 can precipitate at grain boundaries and cause embrittlement in service, so sustained high-temperature duty is specified in low-carbon Ni201. Note the difference is reversed from what many template pages state — Ni201 is the grade for service above 315°C, not below it.
Seawater and Chloride Service: The Honest Boundary
Nickel has good resistance to many neutral and reducing salts, but seawater and chloride-rich service are a different case: pitting and crevice corrosion are real risks, which is why seawater treatment hardware is normally specified in titanium, copper-nickel alloys or duplex stainless steels — the page you are replacing mentions those alternatives itself. The same boundary applies across the Pure Nickel Series: buy nickel bar for hot caustic alkalis, reducing media and clean process service; buy a chloride-capable alloy for seawater. Confirming media, temperature and chloride content before ordering beats correcting a corrosion failure after.
Stock, Surfaces and Delivery for 8mm & 10mm Bar
8mm and 10mm are the working diameters of the program — stocked annealed, cut to length or supplied in standard bar lengths, with black, peeled, polished or cold drawn (bright) surfaces to suit the next operation. Peeled or polished bar suits machined components with tight surfaces; black bar suits parts machined all over. Stock diameters dispatch in 3-7 days, standard production in 7-15 days, and non-stock sizes in 15-30 days per drawing, packed in bundles with protective wrapping in export wooden cases.
Specifying Bar: Diameter Tolerance, Surface and Grade
Send the drawing and the mill confirms diameter tolerance, surface, straightness and length against the specification — not a generic datasheet. Mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) record actual lot chemistry and mechanicals, so incoming inspection has the numbers it asks for. Grade is confirmed against service temperature and media before scheduling, and N4/N6 Chinese-grade equivalents are available on request under GB/T 4435.

Mechanical & Physical Properties
Annealed bar: tensile strength ≥462 MPa, 0.2% yield strength ≥148 MPa, elongation ≥35%, hardness 90-120 HB. Physical constants: density 8.908 g/cm³, melting point 1435-1446°C, thermal conductivity (Ni200) 70.2 W/m·K, electrical resistivity 0.096 μΩ·m (stable electrical performance), coefficient of thermal expansion ≈13.3 µm/m·K (typical), magnetic (ferromagnetic below the Curie point of 358°C).
Quality Assurance
Production runs under ISO 9001 quality systems with SGS-verified processes. Each batch passes chemical composition analysis (spectral), mechanical property testing (tensile, hardness), and dimensional, straightness and surface inspection before packing. Mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) document each lot, and N4/N6 batches follow the same inspection discipline under GB/T 4435.
Applicable Standards
Ni200/Ni201: ASTM B160 (Nickel Rod and Bar), UNS N02200/N02201. N4/N6 Chinese-grade equivalents: GB/T 4435. Export documentation per EN 10204 3.1.

FAQ
Q: Are 8mm and 10mm bars in stock? A: Yes — 8, 10, 12 and 20 mm diameters are standard stock, dispatched in 3-7 days; other diameters run 3-300 mm per drawing.
Q: Which grades are available? A: Ni200 (UNS N02200) and Ni201 (UNS N02201); N4/N6 equivalents are available on request under GB/T 4435.
Q: Can I use pure nickel bar for seawater? A: Not as first choice. Pitting and crevice corrosion are real risks in chloride-rich seawater; that duty is normally specified in titanium, copper-nickel or duplex stainless grades. Nickel bar's strength is hot caustic alkalis and reducing media — confirm the media and we will confirm the grade.
Q: What is the difference between Ni200 and Ni201? A: Carbon content. Ni201 limits carbon to 0.02%, which prevents grain-boundary carbide embrittlement above roughly 315°C — so sustained high-temperature service is specified in Ni201, while Ni200 covers general duty.
Q: What export documents do you provide? A: EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates recording actual lot chemistry and mechanicals, with ASTM B160 / GB/T 4435 references for incoming inspection.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity? A: MOQ is 10 kg.
Q: How is pricing determined? A: Quoted by grade, diameter, surface and quantity once the spec or drawing is received — no nominal prices that ignore size and grade.
Q: What payment terms are accepted? A: L/C, T/T, Western Union and MoneyGram.
