ISO 9001 & SGS Certified | 10,000 t/yr Capacity | 60+ Export Countries
Overview
Covers high purity nickel bar in four grades: Ni200 (UNS N02200), Ni201 (UNS N02201), N4 (≥99.9%) and N6 (≥99.5%). Annealed bar in 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 20 mm is held in stock; other diameters are produced from 3 mm to 300 mm per drawing, with lengths to 6000 mm and surfaces from black to cold drawn bright. The mill in Changzhou, Jiangsu produces the material from melt to finished bar, in operation since 2002, and each lot ships with a mill test certificate recording its actual composition and mechanicals.

Technical Details
Melting, Forming and Testing at One Site
All four grades are melted to their own specification, forged, rolled, annealed and finished at the Changzhou plant. Control points follow the material: spectral composition analysis at the melt, tensile and hardness testing after heat treatment, and a final inspection of dimensions and surface. The lot number on the certificate traces back to the heat it came from.
Alloy or Pure Nickel: Getting the Name Right
Ni200, Ni201, N4 and N6 are commercially pure nickel at 99.0-99.9%, not alloys, and the choice among them is a purity question. N4 (≥99.9%) and N6 (≥99.5%) sit in the GB/T 4435 high-purity classes for parts that need lower total impurities; Ni200 (≥99.2%) and Ni201 (≥99.0%, C ≤0.02%) cover general and higher-temperature service. Purity drives the ductility of the finished bar and keeps electrical and thermal performance stable in service, and corrosion behaviour in caustic and reducing media follows the grade selected. Duties that need alloying, such as resistance heating elements, high-temperature strength beyond nickel's capability, or seawater pitting resistance, are met by other material families.
Process Control and Traceability
Each batch starts from analyzed electrolytic nickel. The heat is melted under controlled atmosphere, cast and hot worked to diameter, then annealed, straightened and surface finished. Composition is verified at the melt, mechanical properties after heat treatment, and straightness and surface at final inspection. The mill test certificate (EN 10204 3.1) records the actual composition and mechanicals of the shipped lot for incoming inspection, and N4 is documented at 99.9%.
Where High-Purity Nickel Bar Serves, and Where It Does Not
Applications that hold: chemical and process equipment handling caustic and reducing media, electronic and vacuum-device components, magnetostrictive transducers and ultrasonic hardware that use nickel's ferromagnetic behaviour, and R&D work that needs certified purity. Excluded duties: transformer, motor and generator cores, which belong to silicon steel applications, and elevated-temperature structural applications selected on the strength of a boiling point, which is a physical constant rather than a service limit. Above about 315°C, carbon in Ni200 can precipitate at grain boundaries and embrittle the part, so sustained high-temperature service specifies Ni201 with carbon limited to 0.02%.
Applications
Chemical and process equipment for caustic and reducing media.
Electronic and vacuum-device components requiring documented purity.
Battery connection parts in the strip and wire forms of the nickel family.
Magnetostrictive transducers and ultrasonic hardware.
Research and development where certified purity supports repeatable results.
