Overview
Pure nickel wire is only as reliable as the system that produces it — grade, purity and documentation must line up on every spool. High conductivity pure nickel wire from DZX Alloy is drawn from 0.025 mm to 10 mm under ISO 9001 & SGS quality systems, with resistivity of 0.096 μΩ·m, thermal conductivity of 70.2 W/m·K (Ni200) and a face-centered cubic structure for ductile, repeatable forming. Four grades — N4 (≥99.9% Ni+Co), N6, Ni200 and Ni201 — are supplied with mill certificates recording the actual lot composition. Micro wire from 1 kg, standard wire from 5 kg.
Pure Nickel vs Copper and Alloy Wire
Where conductivity is the only requirement, copper wins — its resistivity of roughly 0.017 μΩ·m is far below nickel's 0.096 μΩ·m. Pure nickel wire is chosen where conductivity must survive corrosion, heat and magnetism: it keeps stable resistance in corrosive media, stays ferromagnetic to 358°C, and outlasts copper in elevated-temperature and chemical service. Nickel alloys such as CuNi trade away that conductivity for other properties, which is why specifiers pick pure nickel wire for battery tabs, electrical contacts and magnetic components rather than reaching for the alloy sheet.

Technical Details
FCC Structure and the Conductivity Story
The face-centered cubic (FCC) lattice sets the property pair this page is named for: it gives the metal uniform plastic deformation — the ductility that lets wire draw, bend and weld without cracking — while the resistivity of 0.096 μΩ·m keeps resistance per unit length predictable along the spool. Thermal conductivity of 70.2 W/m·K (Ni200) carries heat away in battery and contact service. Together they make pure nickel wire the practical conductor where copper corrodes and alloys lose conductivity.
Grade Purity You Can Verify
Purity is specified per grade: N4 (≥99.9% Ni+Co) for the highest-purity service, N6 (≥99.5%) for general duty, Ni201 (≥99.0%, C ≤0.02%) for low-carbon welding-sensitive work, and Ni200 (≥99.2%, C ≤0.15%) for standard mechanical and electrical applications — all four in the pure nickel series. Every spool ships with a mill test certificate (EN 10204 3.1) recording the actual lot composition, so the purity claimed on the order is the purity on the coil.
Quality Control from Melt to Spool
Wire is drawn on our own nickel line, where every batch passes chemical composition analysis, dimensional and surface inspection before packing. Coils are wound with controlled tension so the wire pays off cleanly in automated equipment, and each coil is traceable back to its melt and lot. Batch records accompany the shipment, giving incoming inspection everything it needs to clear the material quickly.
Scale and Certification Behind the Wire
DZX Alloy has produced nickel and specialty alloy products since 2002, holds ISO 9001 & SGS certification, and counts 50+ patents and more than 2,000 industrial partners across 60+ export countries. The nickel wire line alone runs up to 300 tons per month, which keeps lead times short enough to ship standard wire in 7-15 days while holding grade, diameter and documentation consistent from melt to spool.
Pricing
Wire is priced by grade, FOB USD/kg: N4 $420-480, Ni201 $350-390, Ni200 $340-380, N6 $300-340. Micro wire (≤0.05 mm) from 1 kg; standard wire from 5 kg. Custom diameters and tight tolerances are quoted per drawing.
