Overview
Ni200 and Ni201 pure nickel wire covers 0.025 mm to 10 mm, and the common diameters sit on the shelf rather than behind a production queue. Both grades are commercial-purity nickel: Ni201 (≥99.0% Ni, C ≤0.02%) for hot service, and Ni200 (≥99.2%) for general duty at a lower price per kg.
Stocked Sizes and Drawn-to-Order Coils
A stocked coil and a drawn-to-order coil are released against one standard, and the difference between them is calendar time. Stocking is practical here because 0.025 mm to 10 mm covers the bulk of orders and the common diameters are the ones that repeat. Where a drawing calls for a diameter outside the stocked list, the wire is drawn to order, with micro sizes at a 1 kg minimum.

Key Strengths
In-stock sizes: 0.025 mm to 10 mm is covered, with common diameters held on the shelf for short-notice dispatch.
Grade split: Ni201 (C ≤0.02%) holds ductility above roughly 315°C, where the higher carbon in Ni200 can precipitate over long exposure.
Magnetic behaviour: ferromagnetic with a Curie temperature of 358°C, for magnetic components and instrument internals.
Formability: drawn into fine filaments and mesh, and formed by cold or hot working into complex shapes.
Corrosion resistance: stable against oxidation, alkaline media and reducing environments, including hydrofluoric acid.
Technical Details
Full-Range Stock: 0.025-10 mm Ready to Ship
Common diameters across the stock list are held on the shelf, so a standard order leaves in 3–7 days instead of waiting for a production slot. Micro wire (≤0.05 mm) starts at a 1 kg MOQ and standard sizes at 5 kg. Where a project needs forms other than wire, the Pure Nickel Series covers bar, tube, strip and plate.
The Carbon Difference Between Ni200 and Ni201
Ni201 (UNS N02201) caps carbon at 0.02% and Ni200 (UNS N02200) allows up to 0.15%, and that is the whole difference between them: the corrosion and conductivity data are otherwise identical. Above roughly 315°C the higher carbon in Ni200 can precipitate at grain boundaries over long exposure, so hot-service positions take Ni201, while Ni200 serves room-temperature structural and current-carrying service at a lower price per kg. Where a drawing calls out N4 (≥99.9%) or N6 (≥99.5%), the GB designation system applies.
Service Media and Temperature Limits
Pure nickel resists oxidation and water vapour at high temperature, and holds in alkaline media such as sodium hydroxide and ammonia, along with reducing media including hydrofluoric acid. Two service conditions sit outside that behaviour: strong oxidizing acids such as nitric acid and hot concentrated sulfuric acid attack the metal, and chloride-bearing environments make it vulnerable to pitting, so the medium and its temperature are checked before the grade is fixed.
Batch Consistency on Fast Deliveries
Stock turns over against a rolling production schedule, which keeps shelf life short: what leaves the warehouse was drawn recently, on the line that also runs custom orders. A fast delivery does not shorten the test sequence, and the lot record travels with the spool.

Quality Assurance
Each lot is checked against the limits of the grade on the order, UNS for Ni200 and Ni201 and GB for N4 and N6, and the results are filed against the lot number carried on the spool. Export orders ship with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates.

Packaging & Delivery
Micro and fine wire is wound on spools and packed in carton boxes; larger diameters are supplied as coils in polybags or on spools as requested. Delivery is 3–7 days for in-stock sizes, 7–15 days for standard production, and 15–30 days for complex custom requirements confirmed against the drawing.
About the Factory
Stock is only worth holding on a line that runs nickel continuously, which is the case here: DZX has drawn nickel wire since 2002, so common diameters stay on the shelf while custom orders run alongside. The plant holds ISO 9001 and SGS certification, with 20+ years of drawing experience, 50+ patents, 1,000+ product configurations and 2,000+ partners across 60+ export countries.

FAQ
Which sizes are in stock for fast dispatch?
Common diameters between 0.025 mm and 10 mm are held in stock for 3–7 day dispatch. Send the required diameter and quantity for stock confirmation.
Which grade suits hot service?
Ni201 (C ≤0.02%) for wire that operates above roughly 315°C, because low carbon preserves ductility where the higher carbon in Ni200 can precipitate at grain boundaries over long exposure. Ni200 (≥99.2%) for room-temperature service at a lower price per kg. N4 and N6 follow the GB designation system.
How conductive is pure nickel wire?
Electrical resistivity is 0.096 μΩ·m, which makes it a good conductor, though copper and silver sit lower on the scale. Nickel is specified where corrosion resistance and weldability matter alongside conductivity.
Is pure nickel wire magnetic?
Yes. Pure nickel is ferromagnetic with a Curie temperature of 358°C, and its magnetism is weaker than that of iron or cobalt. Magnetic behaviour depends on structure and processing, which is why soft-annealed wire is the usual choice for magnetic components.
What is the MOQ and sample policy?
Micro wire (≤0.05 mm) starts at 1 kg; standard wire at 5 kg. Samples are free for N6/Ni200 (0.5 kg); N4/Ni201 samples are charged and refunded on a first order of 50 kg or more.
What is the delivery time and what documents ship with the order?
In-stock sizes ship in 3–7 days; standard production in 7–15 days; complex custom requirements in 15–30 days after the drawing is approved. Export orders include EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates and batch test records.
