Product Detail
ISO 9001 & SGS Audited Plant | Record for Every Heat | Cast Lots Cut to Order

Every K213 lot is cast to one grade and released with a certificate for its heat, in round sections from 8.0 mm to 200 mm. The composition and the impurity limits are fixed on the order, the cast is checked against those figures, and the records for the heat stay with the lot after it leaves the plant.

How a K213 Lot Is Made and Recorded

K213 is a designation from the cast grade series applied to high-temperature alloys in the Chinese standard system, and it is bought as a charge addition rather than as a finished part. What the order fixes is the composition the addition has to deliver into the heat, which is the figure the casting programme's own specification is written around.

The bar comes off the same cast route as the rest of the high temperature alloy bar output from this plant: vacuum melting, a composition check against the agreed grade, then bar casting into round section. Cutting and surface inspection come next, and the packing and document set follow in that order, with each step recorded against the heat rather than against the order alone.

Key Strengths

  • Cast to one grade per lot, against limits agreed on the order.

  • A certificate issued for every heat and kept in the lot file.

  • Melting and casting handled under the same quality system as cutting and packing.

  • Case markings matched to the packing list for checking on arrival.

  • The same document set whether the lot is large or small.

What the Plant Audit Covers

The ISO 9001 certificate and the SGS audit address the operating system at the plant, covering how metal is melted and cast, how bar is cut and packed, and how results are traced. They are statements about the way the plant runs, and they are renewed and audited on a cycle rather than issued once for a particular cast.

Reading the Certificate Against the Case

The certificate describes material rather than a component. It states the composition of the heat that produced the lot, and the cases carry the grade and the lot number that the packing list repeats. A consignee therefore has two documents to set side by side on arrival, and the pair answers the question of what was shipped without reference to anyone at the plant.

Master alloy casting rods introduction

Why One Grade Is Cast per Lot

A melt is charged for one grade, so a lot belongs to one composition and one agreed set of limits. That is what makes the record meaningful: if a lot carried material from two grades, the certificate could not describe it in a single line, and an incoming check at the foundry would have nothing definite to compare against. Keeping a lot single-grade is a record-keeping decision as much as a melting one.

What Stays on File After the Lot Ships

The lot file does not close when the container does. The composition results and the inspection notes for the heat are retained against the lot number, so a question raised months later can be answered from what was recorded at the time. A repeat order is set against the same file, which is how two deliveries of one grade are shown to have been made to one agreement.

The Record Set Behind a Cast Grade Lot

RecordWhat it covers
ISO 9001 certificateThe quality system governing melting and casting through to packing
SGS auditIndependent audit of the same operating system at the plant
Mill test certificateThe composition of the heat that produced the lot
Packing listThe case numbers and the markings carried on each case
Lot fileThe composition results and inspection notes held for the heat

None of these records certifies a finished casting. The certificate states the composition of the material supplied, and the casting programme's own specification governs the part that is made from it.

Quality Assurance

The melt is checked against the agreed grade and the finished lot is checked again before release. The surface is examined for cracks and contamination, and where the order asks for it the structure is assessed for uniformity. Each of those results is written into the lot file, so the checks described for a lot are the ones recorded for that heat.

References

K213 comes from the cast grade series applied to high-temperature alloys in the Chinese standard system. Company-level certification is held under ISO 9001 with an SGS audit at the works, and material-level documentation is the mill test certificate issued for each heat. Guidance on nickel-base additions is taken from ASM International's handbook covering nickel and cobalt alloys and from Nickel Institute publications.

Packaging & Delivery

Bar is bundled with protective wrapping and packed in export wooden cases carrying the grade and the lot number. The ordered charging length is cut before packing, so the pieces arrive ready to be weighed in. Production is scheduled 15-30 days from order confirmation, and freight is quoted against the destination named on the enquiry.

About DZX Alloy

Jiangsu DZX Technology Co., Ltd. has melted and processed alloys at its Changzhou, Jiangsu plant since 2002, holds 50+ patents, and supplies buyers in 60+ export countries under ISO 9001 and SGS audited systems. The master alloy line is handled in the same melt shop as the rest of the output and packed on the same benches, and the lot file for a cast grade order is kept in the same system as the file for every other consignment the plant ships.

Send the grade and the charging length, and the offer comes back with a cast date and the document set listed.

FAQ

Q: What does the ISO 9001 certificate cover at the plant?
A: The operating system behind melting and casting, and behind cutting and packing, including how results are kept and traced. It is a statement about the plant rather than about one cast.

Q: Is the material certified to a product standard?
A: The document issued for material is a mill test certificate stating the composition of the heat, checked against the grade agreed on the order. No product standard is claimed for this line.

Q: Why is one grade cast per lot?
A: A single-grade lot is what allows the certificate to describe the material in one line and gives an incoming check at the foundry a definite figure to compare against.

Q: How does a consignee match the material to the documents?
A: The case markings are the starting point. They are checked against the packing list for that case number, and the certificate then confirms which heat the material behind them came from.

Q: What does the packing list carry?
A: The case numbers for the consignment and the markings on each case, so the list can be worked through against the material on arrival.

Q: Does the document set change with the quantity?
A: No. A small lot and a large one are issued the same set, which keeps the receiving routine at the foundry unchanged between orders.

Q: How long are lot records kept?
A: The lot file is held against the heat number and stays open after dispatch, so a later query or a repeat order is answered from the original file.

Q: What happens if a query is raised after delivery?
A: It is traced from the lot number on the case back to the heat, and answered from the composition results and inspection notes recorded for that cast.

Q: Which checks are recorded for the heat?
A: The composition check at the melt, the check on the released lot, the surface examination, and the structure assessment where the order requires one.

Q: Can a lot be supplied against a customer's own specification?
A: The order fixes the composition and the impurity limits, so a specification from the buyer is matched by agreeing those figures before the cast is made.
