Product Detail
ISO 9001 & SGS Certified | Vacuum Melted Cast Lots | 60+ Export Countries

Cast superalloy master alloy bar in K418 (713C), K403, K4169, K438 (738LC), K213 and CoCrMo is vacuum melted and cast in round sections from 8.0 mm to 200 mm, to the composition fixed on the order. Each lot is released with a mill test certificate for its heat, and cut lengths are prepared to the charging practice at the foundry. Production runs on a 15-30 day window from order confirmation.

An Addition to the Melt, Not a Bar for Machining

Master alloy bar is bought to be charged rather than machined. A foundry weighs it into a heat so the alloying elements reach the melt in a known form and at a known level, and the casting that follows is what the end customer inspects. The purchase therefore rests on the grade and the lot record rather than on a part drawing, and the questions worth settling before the melt are what was charged and what travelled with it.

In form the bar sits with the high temperature alloy bar line, cast round and supplied in cut pieces. In use it is an input to somebody else's melt. A buyer who needs a bar to machine wants a wrought product with mechanical results on the certificate, while a buyer who needs a charge addition wants a chemistry reported for the heat.

Key Strengths

  • Six cast grades on one line, melted to the composition agreed on the order.

  • Vacuum melting applied to the lots on this line rather than offered as an option.

  • Round sections from 8.0 mm to 200 mm from a single cast route.

  • Mill test certificate issued for the heat that produced the lot.

  • Cut lengths prepared to the charging length your furnace uses.

Technical Details

Why the Melt Is the Control Point

Vacuum melting takes the furnace atmosphere out of the equation. An addition that would otherwise pick up oxygen or nitrogen before the cast is poured is kept closer to the limits agreed on the order, and that is what allows a lot to be certified against a named grade rather than against a general statement of composition. The route is not quoted as an upgrade for this line; it describes how the bar is produced.

What the Lot Certificate Carries

The certificate states the grade in the same words that appear on the invoice and reports the chemistry for the heat that was cast. A foundry that has to show its own customer where the material came from passes that document on. When the casting is audited later, the questions travel back to the grade that was charged and to the lot it came from, which is why the lot number is carried on the certificate and on the cases.

What Certification Covers, and What It Does Not

ISO 9001 and the SGS audit cover the system at the plant: how a grade is agreed before a melt, how a lot is identified, how records are kept and how they are released with the material. They are not an approval of any particular casting made from the bar. A foundry that has to qualify a supplier for its own programme, or that needs the bar tied to a specification it names, should raise it at the enquiry so the answer is given in writing before the melt.

Matching a Repeat Order to an Earlier Lot

Lot records are kept, so a repeat order can be compared with the previous supply instead of being treated as new material. Quote the earlier lot number or the earlier order, and the offer notes what was supplied last time.

Grade Series and Designations

Six grades are held on this line: K418 (713C), K403, K4169, K438 (738LC), K213 and CoCrMo. The designations follow the cast grade series used for high-temperature alloys in the Chinese standard system, where the same material may also be written under a trade designation such as 713C or 738LC. Composition and impurity limits are not fixed on this page. They are set against the grade named on the order and reported for the heat that is cast, so the certificate describes the grade the purchase order named.

Quality Assurance

Every cast is checked against the grade agreed on the order, and the surface is inspected before packing. The lot is released on its own certificate rather than on a general statement, and the invoice and the certificate are prepared from the same order sheet so that both describe one consignment.

References

Grade designations follow the cast grade series for high-temperature alloys in the Chinese standard system. Composition and impurity limits are confirmed against the grade agreed on the order. High-temperature application guidance references the ASM Specialty Handbook: Nickel, Cobalt, and Their Alloys and Nickel Institute publications, and lot chemistry is verified against mill test certificates and in-house inspection records.

Packaging & Delivery

Bar is bundled with protective wrapping and packed in export wooden cases marked with the grade and the lot number. Cutting is done to the length the foundry charges, so a consignment can be weighed into the furnace without a second operation. Production is scheduled 15-30 days after order confirmation, and freight is quoted on FOB, CFR or CIF terms against the destination named on the enquiry.

About DZX Alloy

Certification and audit records sit behind the master alloy line at Jiangsu DZX Technology Co., Ltd., which has melted and processed alloys at its Changzhou, Jiangsu mill since 2002 and ships to 60+ export countries. The product list runs to more than 1,000 items, and the melting route used for this line is the one the plant has run for its bar and wire output for two decades.

Send the grade and the quantity your furnace charges, and the offer is made against the lot that will be cast.

FAQ

Q: Which grades are supplied as master alloy bar?
A: K418 (713C), K403, K4169, K438 (738LC), K213 and CoCrMo. State the grade on the enquiry and the offer restates it in the form the purchase order will use.

Q: Is the bar vacuum melted?
A: Yes. The lots on this line are melted under vacuum, and the route is not offered as an alternative.

Q: How is the grade fixed before the melt?
A: Composition and impurity limits are agreed in writing before the cast, and the heat is then checked against that agreement rather than against a stock analysis.

Q: What does the mill test certificate show?
A: The chemistry for the heat, the lot number, and the grade written in the same words as the invoice, so a consignee can check the material against the documents it holds.

Q: Can bar be cut to the charging length?
A: Yes. Cut lengths are made to the length the foundry charges, so pieces can be weighed in without a second cutting operation.

Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: It comes from the diameter and the quantity your furnace charges, and is confirmed with the grade when the order is placed.

Q: What is the delivery time?
A: 15-30 days after order confirmation. The sea leg is quoted separately against the destination.

Q: Which shipping terms are quoted?
A: Freight is quoted to the destination named on the enquiry, and the Incoterm is agreed at that point.

Q: What payment terms are accepted?
A: Letter of credit, bank transfer, Western Union or MoneyGram, agreed when the order is placed.

Q: Can a repeat order be matched to an earlier lot?
A: Yes. Quote the earlier lot number or order with the grade and quantity, and the offer notes what was supplied last time.
