Products Description

Hastelloy HC-276/C-22/C-4/B2/B3/N Strip
HASTELLOY is a Nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought alloy that is considered the most versatile corrosion resistant alloy available.
This alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, thus making it suitable for most chemical process applications in an as welded condition.Hastelloy Form: Pipe / Tube (welded and seamless), Plate /Sheet,Bar, Wire, Fittings
Wire: 0.01-10mm
Strip: 0.05*5.0-5.0*250mm
Bar: φ4-50mm;Length 2000-5000mm
Pipe: φ6-273mm;δ1-30mm;Length 1000-8000mm
Sheet: δ 0.8-36mm;Width 650-2000mm;Length 800-4500mm
Character

• Ending machinability
• Low at 700℃ has high tensile strength, fatigue strength, creep strength and fracture strength
• Low at 1000℃ has the high oxidation
• Both ends have stable chemical properties at low temperature
• Ending with good welding performance

Applications in Heat Exchangers
Heat exchangers are vital components in chemical plants, power stations, and process industries. They require materials that maintain performance under:
High heat transfer loads
Aggressive chemical exposure
Continuous flow of corrosive media
Hastelloy C-4 strip is ideal for manufacturing thin-wall tubing and plate-style heat exchangers. Its corrosion resistance to hot mineral acids, chloride-contaminated media, and oxidizing atmospheres ensures long service life and low maintenance needs—even in the most extreme conditions.
Applications in Industrial Reactors
Industrial reactors often operate in high-pressure and high-temperature conditions where chemical reactions release aggressive byproducts. Hastelloy C-4 strip offers:
Uniform corrosion resistance
Fabricability into complex shapes and designs
Proven performance in sulfuric, nitric, and phosphoric acid environments
It’s widely used in the fabrication of reactor linings, vessel walls, and internal structures, where chemical integrity and structural stability are critical to both productivity and worker safety.
Meeting User Needs
Users across chemical, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical sectors demand materials that offer:
Extended service life in acidic and high-temperature environments
Reliable fabrication properties for tight manufacturing tolerances
Resistance to localized attack, including pitting and intergranular corrosion
Compliance with international material standards, such as ASTM B575
Hastelloy C-4 strip meets these demands, offering a practical and efficient solution for mission-critical components.
Advantages of Using Hastelloy C-4 Strip
Versatile and Customizable: Available in various thicknesses and widths, suitable for precise industrial fabrication
Low Carbon Content: Minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, reducing the risk of corrosion at weld joints
Stable Under Heat: Performs reliably even in temperatures exceeding 1000°F (540°C)
Global Standard: Recognized and used in international reactor and exchanger systems
